... We believe that a residency is more than simply booking rehearsal time but a complete artistic development programme Before joining the residency programme, each artist will be invited to present their project, their ambitions and their goals for the year ahead. This conversation allows us to understand how we can best support your artistic development, whether through. Our goal is to create a personalised development path adapted to each project. We opens its residency programme to solo artists, bands and music creators who are looking for a professional, creative and collaborative environment to develop their work. We welcome committed artists from different backgrounds: singers, instrumentalists, electronic music producers, composers, and bands looking for a place where they can rehearse, record and develop their projects within the same creative ecosystem. The programme is particularly suited for artists working in jazz, soul, groove, electronic music, live music and other independent scenes who want to develop their artistic identity, record in professional conditions and become part of an active creative community.
A How does the residency work ?
... Ragtime Production operates as a support platform for independent artists rather than a traditional record label. Residents remain the sole owners and producers of their recordings and retain full ownership of their masters and intellectual property, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Our goal is not to sign artists, but to help independent musicians develop, produce, release and promote their work within a collaborative creative ecosystem
Production & Distribution
... Each season, a collective release event will be organised to highlight the resident artists. This includes: a season showcase concert at Les Glacières, bringing together the resident artists on the same stage, and a radio release party at WIH Radio, where residents can present their projects through live performances, DJ sets or special programming. The objective is to create a collective momentum: artists supporting each other, sharing audiences and building a stronger independent music community together.
